Ball State Tied for 10th at Rio Verde Invitational

RIO VERDE, Ariz. – The Ball State women's golf team wrapped up the Rio Verde Invitational on Sunday. Liz Kim and Kiah Parrott tied for 30th to lead the Cardinals.
Kim and Parrott both shot rounds of 80 (+8) for the final round. The three-round mark of 229 (+13) earned them a tie for 30th. Parrott tied for the team lead with six birdies, while Kim finished the tournament with five birdies. Kim was one of just two golfers to collect an eagle across the three days.
Morgan Lewis tied the lowest round of the day for BSU with a 79 (+7). She finished the tournament tied for 61st. Lewis also tied for the team lead in birdies with six.
Dylann Armstrong tied for the lowest round of the day by a Cardinal with a 79 (+7). She tallied three birdies for the invitational and tied for 65th.
Hadley Moritz finished the tournament tied for 77th.
Kennesaw State won the tournament with a team score of 865 (+1), while Xavier (877, +13) and California Baptist (893, +29) came in second and third, respectively. Kennesaw State's Caitlyn Campbell won the individual title with a three-round total of 211 (-5).
Ball State returns to action on Monday, March 14, for the Spring Break Shootout hosted by Florida Gulf Coast. The shootout will take place at the Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club.
