Cardinals in 10th, Kim Tied for 18th

MUNCIE, Ind – The Ball State women's golf team was on the White Fang Golf Course at the Rio Verde Country Club on Friday. Liz Kim is tied for 18th to lead the Cardinals.
The par-72, 6,001-yard course proved to be difficult as only one team in the 18-team field shot under par. Kennesaw State leads at 286 (-2). Only five individuals posted rounds under par.
Kim tallied two birdies and finished the first round tied for 18th with a 75 (+3). Kiah Parrott is two shots back and tied for 36th with an opening-round score of 77 (+5). Parrott notched one birdie for the day. Morgan Lewis is tied for 36th at 77 (+5) after day one and had a team-high three birdies. Dylann Armstrong is tied for 56th after a first-round mark of 80 (+8) with one birdie on the day. Hadley Moritz is tied for 56th with a round of 80 (+8).
The Cardinals will be back in action for day two of the Rio Verde Invitational on Saturday. It will be a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. and BSU will start on holes 10, 11, and 12. Live stats for the Rio Verde Invitational can be found on Golfstat or by clicking here.
