Men’s Swimming & Diving Heads To Miami Invitational

MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State men's swimming & diving program, along with the women, closes the opening half of the 2022-23 campaign this week at the Miami Invitational.
The three-day meet begins Thursday with preliminary action at 9 a.m. at the Nixon Aquatic Center. Finals are set for 5 p.m. that evening. The morning schedule will repeat Friday and Saturday, while finals will take place at 5 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday.
This will be the fourth meet of the season for the men's program, which owns a 1-1 dual record and placed third among eight teams at the Indiana Intercollegiates (Oct. 22).
As a squad, the Cardinals have chalked up 12 individual wins and two relay victories over the first three meets of the season. Senior Owen Chaye leads the pack with three individual event victories, including two last time out in the squad's dual at IUPUI.
IN THE MAC RANKINGS – MEN:
In the latest NCAA Division I Top Time Rankings as compiled by CollegeSwimming.com, the Cardinals have five student-athletes ranked in scoring position in their respective heading into the Miami Invitational.
Junior Joey Garberick is BSU's top-ranked swimmer, holding the third spot in the 100 breaststroke with his time of 55.20.
