Knopert Earns All-MAC First Team and Freshman Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ball Store field hockey freshman Fleur Knopert has earned All-Mid-American Conference First Team and All-MAC Freshman Team honors, as announced by the league office Thursday (Nov. 3). This is the first time since 2018 that the Cardinals have placed a member on the All-MAC First Team.
Knopert has started and played in every game this season. Knopert leads the squad with nine goals, five assists, 32 shots and has tallied 23 points.
She earned MAC Player of the Week honors in regular season action, for her performance against Ohio. Knopert in exciting fashion came to the rescue for the Cardinals in overtime against the Bobcats on Friday, Oct. 7. Knopert scored the game-winner to push Ball State past the Bobcats, 2-1, at the Briner Sports Complex.
The Ball State field hockey team will compete in the Mid-American Conference Tournament Friday as the No. 4 seed and will take on No. 1 Miami at 11:30 a.m. ET on the RedHawks campus.
