Field Hockey Faces MAC Rival Miami On The Road Friday

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State field hockey team will travel to the 2020-21 reigning Mid-American Conference champions on Friday as the Cardinals take on Miami in league action. The game is slated to begin at 1 p.m. ET at the Miami U FH Complex.

The RedHawks are the closest MAC school in proximity to the Cardinals. It takes approximately 1 hour and 36 minutes driving time door to door.

The Cardinals (3-7, 1-1 MAC) are looking to get back on the winning track after dropping their last two contests. Prior to that, Ball State had opened MAC action at home with a 2-1 win over Central Michigan on Sept. 17.

Currently, Miami (5-6, 2-0 MAC) is on a two-game win streak while being undefeated in league play after posting MAC wins over Appalachian State (1-0) and Longwood University (3-0).

Overall, Friday's contest will mark the 74th meeting all-time between the Cardinals and the RedHawks, with Miami leading the all-time series 48-25. Ball State's stingy defense will look to snap a 17-game losing streak to the four-time defending MAC regular season championships.
