Wiseman Closes out Hawkeye Invitational

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Ball State sophomore golfer Joey Wiseman tied for 31st at 5 over par this weekend at Iowa's Hawkeye Invitational.
Wiseman opened with a 2-under round of 70 and then posted rounds of 78 and 73 for a 54-hole total of 221 at Finkbine Golf Course.
Iowa's Alex Schaake won the tournament at 12 under par, while the Hawkeyes also claimed the team championship.
COVID-19 protocols kept the Cardinals from fielding a full team in the event.
Ball State will next compete at the MAC Championships, set for April 30-May 1 at Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne.
