Cardinals tee it up Monday at the Islander Classic
The Ball State women's golf team is set for its second event of the season this week at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Islander Classic.
The Cardinals, making an appearance at the event for the first time, are part of an 11-team field at Corpus Christi Country Club. The action gets underway Monday morning.
The field also includes Sam Houston, Houston Baptist, Weber State, Stephen F. Austin, UTRGV, Incarnate Word, Tarleton State and Prairie View A&M.
Hadley Moritz, fresh of a tie for sixth with a career-best score at the season opening Mid-American Challenge, leads the BSU lineup this week.
Freshman Kiah Parrott occupies the No. 2 spot after her successful collegiate debut. The Cardinals' lineup also includes Liz Kim, Morgan Lewis and Tiegan Taylor.
Ball State is coming off a seventh-place finish in the opener in Florida. Following this week's action in Texas, the Cardinals are off from competition until a return to Florida in mid-March.
