KETTERING, Ohio - The Ball State men's golf team had a strong performance on day one at the Dayton Flyer Invitational, as the Cardinal currently share a tie for second place alongside Youngstown State.
As a team, the Cardinals played well today, as Ball State led the 10-team field in birdies after two rounds with 28.
The Cardinals placed two in the top 10 heading into the final 18 holes tomorrow with freshman Ali Khan leading the way for the Cardinals knotted at the No. 2 spot.
Khan led all 69 players with eight birdies after shooting a 71 in round one and 70 in the afternoon round for a total of 141 while teammate Joey Ranieri is currently tied for ninth after shooting a 144.
The Ball State men's golf team will end action at the Dayton Flyer Invite on Tuesday which a 9 a.m. ET shotgun.
