Gymnastics season at Ball State is back. The Gym Cards will be in action for the first time since last March when they host Central Michigan Sunday at Worthen Arena at 3 p.m.
The Cardinals enter this year after one of the best season performances in school history last season. Ball State went 11-4 in head-to-head meet scoring and broke the school record for points in a meet three different times. Claudia Goyco was named MAC Specialist of the Year for her performances on the floor and seven Cardinals were named Academic All-MAC.
Â
Claudia Goyco was the 2020 MAC Specialist of the Year, tying for the conference lead in floor exercise scoring.
Central Michigan was voted by the league's coaches as the preseason conference favorite. CMU is led by first team All-MAC gymnast Morgan Tong, the conference's leader on beam last year.
NOTE FOR FANS
There is no general admission to meets this season. Each gymnast will receive a guest list. Guests who do attend the meets are asked to exit as soon as possible after the meet is completed.Â
