
Men’s Golf Second Nationally with Six All-America Scholars

Cardinals set school record, placing all six eligible golfers on award list
MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State men's golf team placed a school-record six student-athletes on the Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar list for 2019-20, tying for the second-most selections of any NCAA Division I team in the country.
Keegan Bronnenberg, Jack Cunningham, Tyler Green, CJ Jones, Yianni Kostouros and Joey Ranieri all earned the recognition. The award, handed out by the Golf Coaches Association of America, is reserved for golfers with a season scoring average better than 76.0 and a career GPA of at least 3.2.
Georgia Southern led all Division I programs with seven All-America Scholars for the 2019-20 season. Ball State was one of a handful of teams with six, joining Duke, Louisville, Gonzaga and Liberty.

CJ Jones, Jr. -- 3.29 GPA (Sport Administration); 75.27 scoring avg.
Yianni Kostouros, So. -- 3.44 GPA (Marketing); 74.60 scoring avg.
Joey Ranieri, So. -- 3.37 GPA (Finance); 73.00 scoring avg.
Every BSU golfer who was eligible for the award earned the recognition. Golfers must have competed in at least 40 percent of their team's competitive rounds to be eligible. Sophomores were eligible for the first time this year.
Ball State is set to return seven of its eight golfers from last season and add four newcomers this fall for the 2020-21 campaign.
