Setting the Stage       Â
• Ball State travels to Buffalo to face the two-time defending MAC champion for the second time this season. The Cardinals defeated the Bulls 88-68 in Muncie in the second game of the conference schedule. Tuesday's game is Ball State's last of the regular season against the MAC East Division. The Cardinals will then close with their final five games against fellow West Division opponents.
Â
• A win Tuesday would move Ball State into a tie with idle Northern Illinois for the West Division lead. The Cardinals split two games at home last week against the division leaders, defeating NIU and then falling to Bowling Green despite a furious late rally to trim a 20-point deficit to three. Buffalo is coming off a pair of wins last week, defeating Central Michigan at home and Toledo on the road.
Â
