Women's Tennis Faces No. 5 Toledo At MAC Tourney Friday

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Ball State women's tennis team is the No. 4 seed for this weekend's 2019 Mid-American Conference Tournament at the Miller Tennis Center (April 26-28) in Buffalo, N.Y.Â
The Cardinals are the No. 4 seed and will take on No. 5 Toledo in the quarterfinals at 10 a.m. Each match will consist of three doubles and six singles matches. Whichever team reaches four points first will win the match and advance in the bracket. Once a team has clinched, the remaining courts will stop play.
Ball State enters this weekend's tournament with an 15-5 overall mark and a 4-3 league ledger. This is the second-straight year the Cardinals will face the Rockets in its first match of the tourney. Last year, Â Ball State fell to Toledo by a score of 4-0 at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
In 2016, the Cardinals won the program's first MAC Tournament championship and automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after their 4-0 win over Western Michigan at Miami University's Hepburn Varsity Tennis Courts. Â
