
T&F Heads to Louisville for Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State track & field program will be a part of history this weekend, when it travels to Louisville's Cardinal Park for the 2019 Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational.

Dubbed the largest meet to ever be ran at UofL's Cardinal Park, Ball State will face student-athletes from at least 24 other NCAA Division I programs over the two-day meet including; Louisville, Cincinnati, SIU, Illinois State, DePaul, WKU, EKU, Central Michigan, MTSU, Bowling Green, Xavier, Morehead State, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Eastern Illinois, Valparaiso, Virginia Tech, Butler, Missouri State, Tennessee Tech, Bellarmine, Lindenwood, Vanderbilt, Vincennes, Belmont.

The Cardinals open their final tune-up before the 2019 Mid-American Conference Championships Friday, competing in six events on the first day of competition. Ball State's student-athletes are also slated to compete in 11 more events Saturday.

No. 3: Ball State's student-athletes continued their assault on the record books last weekend, as sophomore Emmalyne Tarsa improved upon her No. 3 ranking in the 3000m steeplechase (10:52.23), sophomore Princess Carter climbed to fourth in program history in the discus (45.99m) and the 4x100m relay clocked in at 45.52 for the second straight weekend, which is the fifth-fastest time in program history.
