Men’s Swimming Places Seven on Academic All-MAC Team

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Mid-American Conference announced its men's swimming academic awards Monday morning and the Ball State men's swimming and diving team placed seven student-athletes on the list.
"I couldn't be more proud of our team," said head coach J. Agnew. "They put in a ton of hard work in the pool and in the classroom, and it's nice to see that hard work recognized."
Student-athletes who have a 3.2 GPA and participate in at least half of the team's events qualify for the award. A total of 39 achieved Academic All-MAC status this year.
Sophomore diver Sean Wolfe secured the highest GPA for the Cardinals this year with a 3.98. He was followed by Jack Luddy's 3.46. A complete list of all the Ball State honorees, along with all honorees from the conference can be found below.
"Being a student-athlete is not easy, but it is even more impressive to see what they are accomplishing in the classroom in addition to the pool," added diving coach Nick Gayes. "They take their academics very seriously and it shows. I'm inspired every day by how they balance their school and training loads and can perform at such a high level in both."
