CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Ball State swimming and diving teams competed at the 2019 CSCAA National Invitational Championship Thursday at Cleveland State University.Â
Audrey Schank found success today in the preliminaries and swam in the B Finals in the 50 back where she finished 13th overall tonight with a time of 25.74.
Ben Andrew made Ball State history when he moved into fourth in program history in the 100 breast stroke with his time of 56.44. Andrew wrapped up today's finals with a 19th overall placement in the 50 free.
The women's 200 relay team of Peighton Gilbert, Anne Vormohr, Alex Bader and Makenna Bottorff placed 17th overall and moved into eighth in school history with a time of 1:34.79. The men's 200 relay team of Drew Weeks, Davis Meyn, Duncan McLarty and Andrew had a 1:24.85 time which was also good for a 17th place finish.
Through 22 events in day one, the Ball State women are currently 28th out of 42 teams and the men are 19th out of 24.
The Ball State swimming and diving teams will continue postseason action at the 2019 CSCAA National Invitational Championship Friday.
