MUNCIE, Ind. – Both teams shot the ball extremely well, but the Northern Illinois edge in second chance points was the difference in its 93-83 win over the Ball State women's basketball team Saturday afternoon in Worthen Arena.
Northern Illinois (14-8, 6-4 MAC) recorded its third straight league win while shooting 51.5 percent from the floor, the team's best against a MAC opponent this year. The Huskies also finished plus-13 on the boards and tallied 21 second chance points compared to just four for Ball State (7-15, 2-8).
