TIME FOR TIP-OFF
- The Cardinals begin a two-game road swing on Wednesday when it travels to Akron. Ball State beat Akron twice last season at home and on the road.Â
- Wednesday's game against Akron will mark the 40th time in program history the two schools have met with the Cardinals leading the all-time series, 24-16. Ball State has won the last six meetings between the two programs.
- Ball State is looking for its first win since Jan. 23 when the Cardinals defeated Kent State, 48-44.
- Akron is looking to extend its win streak to two after recenlty defeating Western Michigan Saturday afternoon in James A. Rhodes arena, 69-62.
- After todays contest, the Cardinals have seven MAC regular season games remaining. Four of those games will be played in Worthen Arena.
- John E. Worthen Arena has been very good to the Cardinals for the past decade. Ball State has a record of 133-65 (.671) at Worthen Arena from 2004-present.
- Brady Sallee has been coaching the Cardinals for seven years, longer than any head coach with the exception of Central Michigan (Sue Guevara) and Toledo (Tricia Cullop). He was hired in the same season as Buffalo (Felisha Legette-Jack) and Western Michigan's (Shane Clipfell) head coaches.Â
ABOUT AKRON
- The Cardinals will be the last Mid-American Conference West Division the Zips will face this season. Ball State has to play one more from the MAC East Division, when the Cardinals host Buffalo Wednesday, Feb. 20 for a make-up after the originally scheduled contest was postponed due to weather.
- The Zips haven't defeated the Cardinals since the 2014 season.Â
- Akron is under the direction of first-year head coach Melissa Jackson who was an assistant for the Zip for the past 10 seasons prior to her appointment.Â
- The Zips have three players averaging double digit scoring, Megan Sefcik (16.6 ppg), Shaunay Edmonds (11.2 ppg) and Haliegh Reinoehl (10.0 ppg). Reinoehl also leads Akron defensively with 7.3 rebounds per contest.

- The Cardinals close their two-game road swing Saturday when it travels to Eastern Michigan for a 2 p.m. tipoff in the Convocation Center. Saturday's game against Eastern Michigan will mark the 79th time in program history the two schools have met with the Eagles leading the all-time series, 40-38. The Cardinals won their last two meetings over Eastern Michigan. Head coach Brady Sallee holds an overall record of 10-4 record against Eastern Michigan from 2012-13 to present.
