- Saturday's game against Northen Illinois will mark the 56th time the teams have met, with the Cardinals leading the all-time series record, 36-19.Â
- Ball State has won 30 of its last 38 meetings dating back to 2001-02.
- The Cardinals have won three straight over the Huskies. Ball State swept the series against Northern Illinois last season winning at home, 81-72, and in DeKalb, 72-50.- Ball State is looking for its first win since beating Kent State on Jan. 23 in Worthen Arena, 48-44.Â
- Northern Illinois is looking to extend its win streak to three after defeating Eastern Michigan in overtime on Feb. 2, 68-65 and then Bowling Green Wednesday, 88-47.
- Today's contest between the Cardinals and the Huskies will be the annual "Think Pink" game. Fans are asked to show their support by wearing pink to the game.
- Today's game marks the second double header this season with the Ball State men's basketball team. The Ball State men's basketball team will play at 2 p.m. against Western Michigan.
- John E. Worthen Arena has been very good to the Cardinals for the past decade. Ball State has a record of 133-64 (.675) at Worthen Arena from 2004-present.
- Ball State held a 10-game winning streak against Northern Illinois from 2003-08.
During February, basketball teams around the country, including @BSUCoachBrady and @BallStateWBB, will be participating in the Play4Kay National Free Throw Challenge benefitting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

ABOUT THE HUSKIES
- The Huskies hold a 13-8 record heading into Saturday's game and a 5-4 Mid-American Conference ledger. Northern Illinois has won its last two contests. The Huskie have played two overtime games this season and have won them both. Northern Illinois is 2-6 so far this season when playing on the road. Both wins were conference contests, at Eastern Michigan and Bowling Green.
 - Northern Illinois is paced by Mikayla Voigt, who averages 20.7 ppg and 4.9 rpg. Behind Voigt is Gabby Nikitinaite who is currently averaging 12.3 ppg and 3.8 rpg. Rounding out the double digit scoring for the Huskies is Myia Starks with 11.6 points per contest.
- The Huskies are led by head coach Lisa Carlson who is in her fourth season at Northern Illinois. Â
NEXT GAME
The Cardinals begin a two-game road swing on Wednesday when it travels to Akron. Ball State beat Akron twice last season at home and on the road. Wednesday's game against Akron will mark the 40th time in program history the two schools have met with the Cardinals leading the all-time series, 24-16. Ball State has won the last six meetings between the two programs.
