MUNCIE, Ind. – The women of the Ball State University swimming and diving team cap their season this week as the Mid-American Conference Championships open Wednesday at Akron.
"We're ready to get going," said head coach J Agnew. "We've been training hard and we feel prepared, but you've still got to get in the pool and race. Hopefully the jitters don't last too long and we can get to Akron and get comfortable. It will be an exciting week for us."
After the opening day on Wednesday, the championships will run all the way through Saturday, March 2. Live streams will be available on the Akron athletics website and ESPN. Links can be found on the schedule page.
The Cardinals are fresh off a double-duel victory in which they knocked off both Indiana State and Southern Illinois. Ball State will look to carry that momentum into the week as it attempts to bring home a conference championship and qualify several swimmers and divers for the NCAA's.
