Time For Tip-off
- The Cardinals close their two-game road swing Saturday when it travels to Eastern Michigan for a 2 p.m. tipoff in the Convocation Center.Â
- Saturday's game against Eastern Michigan will mark the 79th time in program history the two schools have met with the Eagles leading the all-time series, 40-38. Â
- The Cardinals have won their last two meetings over Eastern Michigan. Head coach Brady Sallee holds an overall record of 10-4 record against Eastern Michigan from 2012-13 to present.
- Ball State returns home Wednesday for its make-up game against Buffalo. The game was originally scheduled for Jan. 30 and had to be postponed due to severe weather in Delaware County.
- Both the Cardinals and the Eagles are looking to snap five-game losing streaks.
- Brady Sallee has been coaching the Cardinals for seven years, longer than any head coach with the exception of Central Michigan (Sue Guevara) and Toledo (Tricia Cullop). He was hired in the same season as Buffalo (Felisha Legette-Jack) and Western Michigan's (Shane Clipfell) head coaches.Â
About The Eagles
- In the Cardinals last game at the Convocation Center, Ball State women's basketball coach Brady Sallee became the program's winningest coach after the Cardinals defeated Eastern Michigan 88-63 on March 3, 2018. It was Ball State's last game of the regular season, and this year the Cardinals also closes out their regular season at home against the Eagles.
- The Eagles have recently suffered a five-game losing streak. The last time EMU won a game was on Jan. 23 at home against Bowling Green by a score of 81-74.Â
- EMU has three players averaging in double figures, Danielle Minott (14.6 ppg), Corrione Cardwell (13.1 ppg) and Courtnie Lewis (10.5 ppg).Â
- Eastern Michigan's head coach is Fred Castro who is in his third season at the helm of the Eagles.
- Ball State is 30-12 against Michigan schools during head coach Brady Sallee's six seasons after beating Detroit Mercy (twice), Western Michigan (11 times), Eastern Michigan (10 times), Central Michigan (five times) and Oakland University (twice).
What's Next
-The Cardinals return home Wednesday for their make-up game against Buffalo which was originally scheduled for Jan. 30 in Muncie, Ind. but due to severe weather in Delaware County both teams agreed to reschedule the contest for Feb. 20. Ball State fell in its first meeting to the Bulls 77-65 at University Arena on Jan. 16.
