Cardinals Looking to Send Seniors Out with a Win in Finale

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State football team will wrap up its 2019 season Friday afternoon against Miami (Ohio). The RedHawks have already clinched a spot in the upcoming Mid-American Conference Championship game. The Cardinals hope to lay claim to the Red Bird Rivalry Trophy for the first time since its introduction two years ago.

This year's class includes NT Chris Crumb, WR Malik Dunner, RB Walter Fletcher, WR Brennan Gillis, SAF Mitch Larsen, K Patrick LeCorre, WR Riley Miller, OL Danny Pinter, OL Andrew Poenitsch, OL Zac Ricketts, K Ryan Rimmler, DL Tuni Ropati, TE Kyle Schrank, ILB Jacob White and SAF Ray Wilborn. The group has made 225 starts over the last four years for the Cardinals.
2. Ball State has rushed for at least 200 yards in six of its seven MAC games. The Cardinals average 267.0 rushing yards per game against league foes, tops in the MAC. Meanwhile, Miami ranks third in rushing yards allowed against MAC foes (165.0).
3. Ball State hasn't won its regular season finale since 2014. That year, the Cardinals took down MAC East Division champion Bowling Green on the road, 41-24. Miami is this year's MAC East Division champion and will play in the MAC Championship game on Dec. 7.

8 – Ball State has lost its last three games by a total of eight points.
13 – Thirteen Cardinals have started every game this year. Only six Ball State players accomplished that feat last year.
22 – The Ball State defense has forced 22 turnovers this season, which ranks ninth in the nation. (Illinois – 27)
