2019 (Sr.): Made the move from linebacker to safety late in the spring season … started all 12 games at safety … finished third on the team with 83 tackles … recorded interceptions in games against NC State (Sept. 21) and Eastern Michigan (Oct. 12) … equaled a personal-high with 12 stops at Western Michigan on Nov. 5 … also reached double-figure tackles with 10 in the win at Northern Illinois on Oct. 5 … tied for fourth on the team with six passes defended … broke up a pass in three of the final four games … went on to play in the 2020 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in Pasadena, California.
2018 (Jr.): Started all 12 games at outside linebacker … led the Cardinals in tackles (83) and tackles for loss (10.5) … set career highs with 12 tackles and 3.0 tackles for loss, a team season-high, in the overtime win over Western Michigan on Nov. 13 … recorded his first interception at No. 8 Notre Dame on Sept. 8 and added another against NIU on Oct. 6, returning it 43 yards to set up a touchdown … notched the first sack of his Ball State career in the win at Central Michigan on Oct. 13 … posted five or more tackles in nine contests … joined the team in January 2018.
PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Played the previous two years at Garden City Community College in Kansas under head coach Jeff Sims … racked up 120 tackles, 8.5 sacks and 23 tackles for loss in 23 games with the Broncbusters … recorded a tackle for loss in 10 of 12 games in 2017.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four letters from head coach Dan Bogan at J.W. Sexton High … two-time first team all-state honoree … two-time captain … set the school single-season sack record as a junior (18) … posted eight sacks on defense and 970 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns on offense as a senior … helped the Big Reds reach the state finals in his senior season.
