TIME FOR TIP-OFF Â Â Â Â Â Â
-   Ball State faces Cincinnati for the 14th time in program history. The Bearcats own an 8-5 all-time series record against the Cardinals.
-   The Cardinals and the Bearcats last meeting was in 2018-19 in Worthen Arena. Ball State won that game 75-63.
-Â Â Â The Cardinals last played the Bearcats at Cincinnati in 2004-05 which resulted in a 62-58 victory for Cincinnati.
-Â Â Â Prior to last seasons win, Ball State defeated Cincinnati in 1995-96Â by a score of 76-73 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
-   Brady Sallee owns a 43-25 (.632) career record at Ball State against schools from the state of Ohio. Sallee is 6-0 in non-conference action versus schools from the Buckeye state.
-Â Â Â Redshirt freshman Anna Clephane led all scorers last season against the Bearcats with a career high 22-point performance.
-   After Saturday's contest, the Cardinals open their home slate Wednesday, Nov. 23 against Xavier at 11:30 a.m. for Ball State's annual Kids Day Event.Â
-   Cincinnati is coming off of a 78-73 loss to Big Ten foe Ohio State Wednesday in Fifth Third Arena. IIma'l Thomas led the Bearcats with 25 points.

- Redshirt freshman Anna Clephane has returned to the Cardinals lineup this season after sustaining a season ending injury last year. Clephane came off the bench Tuesday against Purdue Fort Wayne, leading the Cardinals in scoring with 16 points after shooting a staggering 86 (6-of-7) percent from the field. She currently is the top scorer for Ball State averaging 12.5 points per contest.
-Ball State scored 85 points as a team Tuesday against Purdue Fort Wayne. The bench scored almost half of those points. The Cardinals rotation included 13 players throughout the 40 minute duration of the game and got points from 11 different Cardinals of which six of those players did not start. The most a Ball State bench has ever scored under Brady Sallee was in 2017 when the Cardinals bench scored 74 points in a 126-55 win over Oakland City on Dec. 10 in Worthen Arena.

Brown Named Preseason All-MAC:
Junior forward Oshlyn Brown was selected as a member of the the 2019-2020 All-Mid-American Conference Team which was announced last week by the league office. Brown is a two-time post season All-MAC recipient, earning All-MAC Honorable Mention as a sophomore and was tabbed MAC Sixth Player of the Year as a freshman. Brown entered her junior season with 656 points and 532 rebounds for her career along with 17 double-doubles. She currently ranks fourth all-time in rebounds for a single-season which she accomplished last year with 290 rebounds. She also led the Cardinals last season in scoring (12.7 ppg) and rebounding (9.4 rpg).Â
Rebound That Basketball: Junior Oshlynn Brown continues to be a threat on the boards for the Cardinals. She not only currently has 544 rebounds for her career but she is also the second highest rebounder per game returning from the Mid-American Conference this year. Brown in her last two seasons has averaged 8.4 reboounds per game out of 63 contests played. Brown registered six double-doubles last season.

Not A Freshman Anymore:
Sophomore Thelma Dis Augustsdottir led the Cardinals in scoring at IUPUI with 11 points. She went 4-of-7 from the field including two 3-pointers. Agustsdottir then dropped eight points and pulled down four rebounds at Purdue Fort Wayne, Nov. 12.
Samz Can Shoot:
Graduate senior guard Jasmin Samz has shot 47 percent or better from the field in each of her first two seasons as a Cardinal. Last year, she led the Cardinals in shooting percentage and was second in 2017.
Ball State Opens Season With 3-Straight Road Games: For the first time since the 2004-05 season the Cardinals will be on the road for their first three non-conference games. Ball State makes its first appearance in Worthen Arena this year on Wednesday, Nov. 20 against Xavier. That game will be the Cardinals fourth annual Kids Day Event with the game starting at 11:30 a.m. The event is open to elementary and middle school aged children.
SCOUTING CINCINNATI:
• Ball State and Cincinnati have played in two overtime games against each other and the Bearcats have won both, 1975-76 (77-73) and 1998-99 (78-74).
• Cincinnati has two players scoring in double figures per game; Antoinette Miller (20.7 ppg) and IImar'i Thomas (20.0 ppg). Thomas is also averaging double digit rebounds per contest (10.7 rpg).
• The Bearcats head coach is Michelle Clark-Heard who is in her secondseason at the helm of Cincinnati. Clark-Heard came to Cincinnati after being the head coach at Western Kentucky for nine seasons. Ball State head coach Brady Sallee owns a 4-2 record against Clark-Heard with three wins when she was at WKU and one win at Cincinnati.
• Cincinnati was picked to finish tied for third in the 12-team American Athletic Conference in this seasons' preseason poll.
• The home of the Bearcats is Fifth Third Arena which recently reopened its doors prior to the 2018-19 season after a 20-month, privately-funded $87-million renovation. Improvements to the 12,012-seat arena include two 360-degree concourses with court-centric seating, club seats, loge boxes and premium suites.
