Setting the Stage
Ball State closes its fall season this week in Cincinnati. The Cardinals finished runner-up at the Musketeer Classic last year and are the top-ranked team in this year's field, checking in at No. 88 in the Golfstat national rankings.
BSU is looking for a bit of a bounce-back performance this week. After winning their opening event of the year in runaway fashion at the Golfweek Conference Challenge, the Cardinals have struggled to put three rounds together at Trinity Forest, Erin Hills and Crooked Stick.
And Ball State should return to Maketwah with good vibes. CJ Jones (3), Keegan Bronnenberg (T4) and Joey Ranieri (T9) all finished in the top 10 there a year ago. Bronnenberg led the team last week with a tie for 28th at Crooked Stick.
The Cardinals will take the entire roster with them this week. Freshman Joey Wiseman, who debuted as an individual at Erin Hills, will make his first appearance in the BSU lineup, while fellow rookie Evan Bone will see his first collegiate action as an individual.
