Kim Paces Women’s Golf in Dual with Dayton

Cardinals fall to Flyers to open 2018-19 season
DAYTON, Ohio -- Liz Kim posted the second-best score of an player Monday, but the Ball State women's golf team fell 312-330 to Dayton in a dual match to open its season.
Kim carded a 5-over par round of 76, two shots behind Dayton's Alissa Danielson for the low score of the day at Sugar Valley Golf Club. She competed as an individual and not a part of the Cardinals' lineup.
Emily Knouff was Ball State's top player in the lineup with an 81. Three freshmen also provided counting scores for the Cardinals: Dylann Armstrong (82), Morgan Lewis (83) and Hadley Moritz (84). Manon Tounalom matched Moritz with an 84.
BSU will now turn its attention to its first tournament of the season at Illjnois State's Redbird Invitational. The action begins Sunday at Weibring Golf Club in Normal, Illinois.
