BSU men’s golf finishes 12th, led by Timothy Wiseman at 1 under

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Tuesday's final round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge was cancelled because of heavy rains at Cedar Rapids Country Club.

The 36-hole results from the completion of Monday's second round are official. It was the first event of the season for the Ball State men's golf team.

Arkansas State won the tournament with a score of 553 (-23). The Red Wolves also featured the individual medalist in Julien Sale at 8 under par.

Ball State finished 12th at 590 (+14). The 16-team field featured six squads that finished last season among the top 100 in the national rankings.

Timothy Wiseman led the Cardinals with a tie for 26th place at 1 over par, while Keegan Bronnenberg was one shot behind him in a tie for 32nd.

Ball State will return to action Sunday with the first round of SMU's Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas.
