Cardinals draw Ohio, Miami as home-and-home crossover opponents
MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Mid-American Conference announced the league's 2019 men's basketball schedule, set to begin Jan. 5 with Ball State visiting Toledo.
Once again, each school will play seven teams twice (five in division, two cross-division) and four opponents once (cross-division) to compose the 18-game league schedule.
Ball State drew Ohio and Miami as the two East Division opponents it will face both home and away. The Cardinals will host Akron and Kent State from the East while traveling to face Bowling Green and defending league champion Buffalo.
BSU closes the regular season Friday, March 8 at home against Northern Illinois. The MAC Tournament takes place the following week with first-round games Monday, March 11 on campus sites before moving to Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena (March 13-16).
Ball State's complete non-conference schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. As part of the non-league slate, the Cardinals will play in ESPN's Charleston Classic in Charleston, S.C., from Nov. 15-18. BSU's first game of that event comes against Virginia Tech.
The Stoops Buick/GMC Ticket Center at Worthen Arena is also now taking deposits for season tickets. Fans looking to make deposits can contact the ticket center at 888-BSU-TICKET.
