Opening Pitch: Ball State enters play this weekend riding a season-best four game winning streak. The Cardinals have also won six of seven games overall.

Over the last seven games, four of Ball State's regulars are hitting .350 or better – OF Jeff Riedel (.467), OF Colin Brockhouse (.433), SS Noah Powell (.394) and C/OF Griffin Hulecki (.357). The quartet has combined for 27 RBIs and 31 runs scored in that stretch.

Looking ahead, seven of Ball State's next eight games are on the road. C Chase Sebby is hitting .396 in away games and has an on-base percentage of .549 in 18 games played.

Series History: This will mark Ball State's first visit to Ohio since the 2012 season. Each of the last three series have been played at First Merchants Ballpark Complex – 2017, 2016, 2013.

Ohio has won four straight in the series, including a 4-3 win in the opening round of the 2017 MAC Tournament. The Bobcats went on to win the league tournament.

Ohio leads the all-time series by a count of 64-46 and is 30-19 against the Cardinals in Athens.
