The Ball State baseball team and head coach Rich Maloney have announced their 2027 regular season schedule.
The schedule is highlighted by the 30-game Mid-American Conference slate, featuring home series with Western Michigan, Toledo, Miami (OH), Central Michigan and Kent State in addition to eight total games against Big Ten Conference opponents Michigan State, Purdue, Indiana and Illinois.
The campaign begins with four games at the Swig & Swine Classic at Shipyard Park in Charleston, S.C., which features the season opener on Friday, Feb. 19 against St. Joseph's followed by a Saturday afternoon doubleheader with Rider and Sunday morning finale vs Michigan State. Ball State next returns home to host Butler for the home opener on Feb. 23 at Shebek Stadium before playing two games each with Creighton and Illinois State at the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla., starting on Feb. 26.
The Cardinals remain in the Sunshine State to start the month of March, playing a pair of games at Florida A&M. Ball State next plays a three-game series at Western Carolina (March 5-7). The road trip concludes with a March 9 game at Cincinnati.
Conference play begins on March 12 when the Cardinals are set to host Western Michigan. The first road MAC series of the year will be played the following weekend at Eastern Michigan.
Ball State has a series at Illinois that runs April 23-25 that is sandwiched around two games each against Indiana and Purdue. The Hoosiers come to Muncie on April 20, while the Boilermakers are set to play the Cardinals at Shebek Stadium on May 11.
"We are excited to have the opportunity to compete with eight Big Ten games and Big 12 member the University of Cincinnati on our schedule to go along with our MAC slate," Maloney said. "This will be a tremendous opportunity for our boys to be challenged by some of the best."
The MAC Tournament returns to Avon, Ohio, where it is scheduled to be played May 26-30. The full schedule can be found below and on the schedule page. Dates and times of games are subject to change.
