Central Michigan’s Offense Erupts in Win Over Ball State

The Chippewas (8-18-1, 3-2 MAC) scored multiple runs in six of the first seven innings in the 23-1 win. Griffin Lockwood-Powell's grand slam was part of an eight run third inning that put the game away. Lockwood-Powell finished with five RBIs while Evan Kratt went 3-for-4 with six RBIs.
Ball State's (14-12, 3-2) pitching struggled the entire game. The Cardinals tied a season high with 10 walks and also hit four batters.
The final game of the three-game set is slated for Sunday, April 1 at 1 p.m.
