Both Swim and Dive Teams Head to South Bend Saturday

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's and women's teams will head to South Bend Saturday, Feb. 3. The men will take on Notre Dame while the women will battle the Irish and Wisconsin-Green Bay. Meet time is set for 1 p.m.

Below are notable Cardinal times and scores for the women's team:
- Rachel Bertram is currently in the Mid-American Conference top 10 in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives. In the 1-meter, Bertram is fourth with a score of 288.90 that she set against Illinois State. Her score of 292.65 in the 3-meter board set against Toledo and Oakland earned her the eighth place spot in the conference.
- Rachel Smallwood is also in the MAC top 16 in the 1-meter. She posted a score of 277.43 against Eastern Michigan, earning her an NCAA zone cut and placing her in eighth place in the conference.
- Audrey Schank and Anne Vormohr are both in the top 16 in the conference in the 100 backstroke. Schank is 14th with a time of 56.29 while Vormohr is in the 16th spot with a time 56.90. Schank and Vormohr also lead the team in multiple events. Schank leads the team with her time in the 100 backstroke along with leading the 200 backstroke (2:06.46). Vormohr leads the team in the 100 freestyle with a time of 52.83.
- Sophie Bader leads the team in three different events. Her time of 2:06.20 in the 200 butterfly leads the team along with being the 22nd best time in the MAC. Bader also leads the team in the 200 IM (2:08.20) and in the 400 IM (4:35.55).
- Liz Madison and Kayla Molnar each sit atop multiple events on the Cardinal squad. Madison leads the team in the 200 freestyle (1:54.76), the 500 freestyle (5:06.40) and the 200 breaststroke (2:26.11). Molnar is in the top spot on the team in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:43.05. That time also places her 23rd in the conference. Molnar also leads the team in the 1650 freestyle after touching the wall at 17:48.03 at the Miami Invitational.
- Other team leaders include Peighton Gilbert, Amanda Kedzierski and Andrea Richter. Gilbert leads the way in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.86. Kedzierski currently has the best time in the 100 breaststroke at 1:04.96. Richter is atop the team in the 100 butterfly after posting a time of 56.68 at the Miami Invitational.
- Ben Andrew is ranked in the Mid-American Conference top 24 in three different events. He is ninth in the 200 IM with a final time of 1:52.86 and sits at 16th in the 100 freestyle (46.78). Andrew is also 23rd in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.22.
- Four Cardinals are in the top 24 in the MAC in the 1650 freestyle. Isaac Walling is 15th in the event with a time of 16:32.00. Right behind him is Davis Meyn in the 16th spot with a time of 16:33.82. Jack Luddy is 18th (17:04.29) while Ryan Jackowiak is in the 19th spot (17:27.50).
- Cullen Tyler leads the team in the 100 breaststroke and the 200 breaststroke. Tyler has a time of 57.96 in the 100 breast which sits him at 18th in the conference. In the 200 breast, Tyler marked a time of 2:03.84, putting him in the seventh place spot in the MAC.
- In the 200 backstroke, Logan Ackley is 12th in the conference. His time of 1:51.35 in that event also leads the Cardinal squad.
- Other leaders on the team include Zach Reichle in the 50 freestyle (21.53), Davis Meyn in the 200 freestyle (1:43.53), Isaac Walling in the 1000 freestyle (10:05.17), Spencer Ball in the 100 backstroke (51.59), and Adam Pongracz in the 200 butterfly (1:54.83).
- In the 1-meter dive, Gabe Dean and Sean Wolfe are in the MAC top 16. Dean is 14th with a score of 225.22 set at Evansville. Wolfe is in the 12th spot after posting a score of 240.38 against Tiffin.
- Wolfe and Dean are also in the top 16 in the 3-meter board. Wolfe is 13th with a score of 244.65. Dean is in the 16th spot (216.53).
