Cardinals competing in strong 11-team field at Chatham Hills
The Ball State men's golf team returns to action this week close to home at the inaugural Chatham Hills Collegiate hosted by Indiana.
Less than two years old, the Pete Dye-designed Chatham Hills serves as the site for a strong regional field of 11 teams, led by No. 32 Northwestern and No. 35 Marquette. Seven of the teams are ranked among the nation's top 100 by Golfweek.

About the Cardinals
Ball State is coming off a tie for eighth place out of 17 teams two weeks ago at Akron's Firestone Invitational. Sophomore Keegan Bronnenberg led the way with a tie for seventh individually after carding three rounds of even-par or better.
The Cardinals feature five players with scoring averages of 74.13 or better, led by Bronnenberg's 71.50. The young BSU lineup again features two freshmen and two sophomores this week in addition to the team's lone senior Timothy Wiseman.
The Chatham Hills Collegiate is the fourth of five fall tournaments for Ball State, with only Xavier's Muskies Classic (Oct. 22-23) to follow.
