Herrington Advances In Main Singles Draw At ITA Ohio Valley Regional

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Ball State women's tennis team wrapped up day one of competition at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Ohio Valley Regional at UT Chattanooga.

Rebbecca Herrington was the lone Cardinal to advance in the singles main draw competition. Â Herrington posted a straight set victory over Butler's Sarah Monesmith, 6-0, 6-4. Â Herrington will now face Lipscomb's Kate Popova Friday. Â

Sarah Swiderski and Isabelle Dohanics were also part of the main singles draw. Â Swiderski dropped her match to Emma Micelli of Cincinnati in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. Â Swiderski will take on Brianna Tulloch of Kentucky in the singles consolation bracket Friday.

The Ball State women's tennis team continues play at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals until all players are eliminated.
