Men’s Swimming and Diving Announces 2017-18 Schedule

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's swimming and diving schedule has been announced and is highlighted by four regular season home meets. The Cardinals kick off the season with two Red/White scrimmages. The first meet will be short events on Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. in Lewellen Aquatics Center. Another Red/White meet will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27.
The regular season will officially begin on Saturday, Nov. 11 with a co-ed meet against Tiffin, which will be held at Lewellen Aquatics Center. The Cardinals will stay in Muncie for another co-ed meet on Saturday, Nov. 18 against Grand Valley.
The Eastern Michigan Invitational will be the only meet held in the December. The meet will be in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Friday, Dec. 1 and Friday, Dec. 2. The Cardinal squad will then take a break from action until January 5 when they travel to Indianapolis to battle IUPUI and Xavier.
Ball State will host the Eastern Michigan Eagles on Saturday, Jan. 13, which is set to begin at 1 p.m. The Cardinals will then travel to take on three in-state rivals. The team will compete in the Butler Invitational on Sunday, Jan, 21 followed by trips Evansville (Jan 27) and South Bend (Feb.3).
Ball State will round out the regular season with the Senior Meet on Saturday, Feb. 10 against Miami at 1 p.m. The seniors will be honored prior to the meet.
Postseason will begin with the MAC Championships, which will be held in Oxford, Ohio on Feb. 28-Mar. 3. Columbus, Ohio will host the NCAA Diving Zones Mar. 8-10 while Minneapolis, Minnesota, will host the NCAA Championships Mar.21-24.
