Field Hockey Announces 2017 Schedule

MUNCIE, Ind. – Six home games highlight the 2017 field hockey schedule, including the season opener against Saint Louis on Aug. 25.
Before the season opener, the Cardinals will travel to Bloomington, Ind. on Aug. 19 to take on Indiana in a scrimmage. Ball State will then host Ohio on Sunday, Aug. 27.
The Cardinals will then go on an eight game road trip beginning with a trip to Oxford, Ohio to take on Boston University and Massachusetts. Following those two games, Ball State will travel to Pennsylvania where they will go up against LaSalle, Lehigh and St. Francis.
Ball State then heads back to the Midwest to take on Indiana in Bloomington; James Madison in Louisville, Kentucky; and Michigan in Ann Arbor.
The Cardinals will open up Mid-American Conference action on Friday, Oct. 6 against Kent State at the Briner Sports Complex. Ball State will stay home and take on Northwestern Sunday, Oct. 8.
The Cards will continue conference action when they travel to Ohio on Thursday, Oct. 12 and then to Longwood Sunday, Oct. 15.
Appalachian State, a new addition to the MAC, will come to Muncie on Saturday, Oct. 21 followed by a visit from Central Michigan on Friday, Oct. 27. The game against CMU will honor the three seniors prior to the game.
Ball State will round out the 2017 regular season with MAC foe Miami on Sunday, Oct. 29 in Oxford, Ohio.
The MAC Tournament is set to begin on Nov. 2 through Nov. 8 in Kent, Ohio.
