Cardinals looking to build off runner-up finish last time out
The Ball State men's golf team will close out its fall schedule this week, competing for the third straight year at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic in Hawaii.
The 19-team field includes 10 of the top 100 teams in the Golfstat rankings, led by No. 12 LSU.

About the Cardinals
Ball State is coming off its best event of the fall with a runner-up finish at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate, where the Cardinals matched the program record for lowest 54-hole score in relation to par at 17 under.
All five Ball State golfers placed among the top 30 at Kilmaric Golf Club in the Outer Banks, led by Jack Cunningham. The freshman tied for fourth place at 6 under after three straight rounds in red figures. His performance earned MAC Golfer of the Week honors.
Johnny Watts and Michael Makris tied for 14th place. Watts led the field with 16 birdies, and the Cardinals had the most as a team (65).
Coming Up
The Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic is Ball State's final event of the fall season. The Cardinals will return to action Feb. 12-13, hosting the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play at Lake Jovita in Dade City, Florida.
