Men’s Golf Wraps up Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic

LAHAINA, Hawaii -- The Ball State men's golf team closed out its fall schedule Sunday with the final round of the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic.
Freshman Jack Cunningham led the Cardinals for the second straight day, this time carding an even-par 71. The Cardinals posted a scored of 301 as a team finish 19th with a three-day total of 894 (+42) at Royal Ka'anapali.
No. 12 LSU (-31) maintained its overnight lead to win the tournament, finishing seven shots clear of second-place South Carolina. The event included 10 teams ranked among the top 100 in the country by Golfstat.
California's K.K. Limbhasut (-12) climbed to the top of the individual leaderboard to claim medalist honors by one stroke over South Carolina's Scott Stevens.
Cunningham (+7) finished as the top Ball State player in a tie for 60th. Johnny Watts and Michael VanDeventer tied for 72nd.
With the fall schedule now in the books, Ball State will return to action Feb. 12-13 when it hosts the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play at Lake Jovita in Dade City, Florida.
