Men’s Hoops to Play in 2018 Charleston Classic

Event to be held Nov. 15-18, 2018 in Charleston, South Carolina

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State men's basketball team has been selected to play in the 2018 Gildan Charleston Classic in Charleston, S.C.

The annual early season tournament, organized by ESPN, will be held Nov. 15-18, 2018 at TD Arena in Charleston, South Carolina.

In addition to the Cardinals, the eight-team field features Alabama, Appalachian State, Davidson, Northeastern, Purdue, Virginia Tech and Wichita State.

The Gildan Charleston Classic is one of 11 college basketball events that is owned and operated by ESPN Events, a division of ESPN.

While the trip to South Carolina will highlight next year's non-conference schedule, Ball State is just days into its current season. The Cardinals will welcome Stony Brook to Worthen Arena for their home opener Friday at 7 p.m.
