MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State field hockey team (4-11, 0-4 MAC) will round out its regular season this weekend with contests against Central Michigan and Miami (OH). The Cardinals will host Central Michigan Friday, Oct. 27 then travel to Miami on Sunday, Oct. 29.
Last season, Ball State took down Central Michigan, 3-1, in Mount Pleasant. Merinda Morley and Hannah Bohn were two of the Cardinals to score in that contest along with field hockey alum Lexi Kavanaugh.
Going into this year's contest, the Chippewas sit at the bottom of the Mid-American Conference with an overall record of 0-17, 0-5 in the MAC.
Last year against Miami, Ball State fell, 1-0, at BSU Turf Field. The Cardinals had four shots, two of which were on goal, and four saves in that contest.
In the 2017 season, the Redhawks are atop the MAC with a 5-0 conference record. Miami is first in the conference in points with 103. The Redhawks are second in the MAC in goals (38), second in the MAC in goals per game (2.38), second in the MAC assists (27), and second in penalty corners (6.56).
