It's a quick turnaround for the Ball State men's golf team this week as the Cardinals head to the Outer Banks for the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate.

About the Cardinals
Michael Makris led Ball State earlier this week with a 14th-place finish at the Crooked Stick Invitational. The senior made 11 birdies, two shy of the most in the field, on the way to his best finish of the fall.
The Cardinals placed 10th overall in a field of 12 teams that included seven of the top 85 in the Golfstat national rankings.
Ball State is looking for consistency as it plays its next-to-last event of the fall. No one has been more consistent for the Cardinals than junior Timothy Wiseman. He has provided a counting score in every round this season and now leads the team with a 73.42 stroke average.
Ball State will utilize the same five golfers in this week's lineup as it has throughout the fall. Freshman Jack Cunningham has competed in every event for the veteran Cardinals and moves up to the No. 3 spot in the lineup after a solid performance at Crooked Stick.
Last Time at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate
Ball State placed fourth of 18 teams last season, finishing behind only Campbell, Old Dominion and Akron. Campbell is back to defend its title this year.
Wiseman led the Cardinals with a tie for eighth place, one of his two top-10 finishes last year. Makris, Michael VanDeventer and Johnny Watts – all in the lineup again this time around – each finished among the top 30.
Coming Up
Ball State will wrap up its fall schedule with a trip to Hawaii for the third straight year. The Cardinals will compete Nov. 3-5 at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic.
