MUNCIE, Ind. – It's been a month since the Ball State football team has played a game in Scheumann Stadium, and the Cardinals are more than ready to play in front of the hometown crowd. Central Michigan is the opponent this weekend for Ball State's Homecoming. Game time is set for 3 p.m.

Three Things to Know:
1. Ball State is 53-35-2 in Homecoming games. This is the first time the Cardinals have hosted Central Michigan for Homecoming weekend since 1997.
2. The all-time series between Ball State and Central Michigan is knotted evenly at 24-24-1. Each of the last three meetings has been decided by three points or less. RB James Gilbert racked up 141 rushing yards and two touchdowns in last year's 24-21 loss.
3. Ball State's largest comeback in program history happened during Homecoming in 1993. The Cardinals trailed Toledo, 30-3, in the third quarter before rallying for a 31-30 triumph. The quarterback that day? Current head coach Mike Neu.
By the Numbers:
5 – Ball State's defense piled up five sacks and a forced fumble in last year's game at Central Michigan.
10 – Number of defensive players who have recorded a sack. Seven of those players tallied their first collegiate sack this year.
129 – Freshman RB Caleb Huntley racked up a team season-high 129 yards on the ground on Oct. 7 at Akron.
