Makris Leads Men’s Golf on Day 2 at Ka’anapali

Cardinals 18th as a team with one round to play
LEADERBOARD
LAHAINA, Hawaii -- Michael Makris shot a 1-under par 70 to lead the Ball State men's golf team Saturday in the second round of the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic.
The Cardinals posted a round of 293 as a team to run their 36-hole total to 589 (+21). They are tied for 18th place with one round left to play on the Royal Ka'anapali Course.
No. 15 Georgia climbed to the top of the leaderboard at 18 under par. No. 13 LSU (-8) is second, and No. 7 Oklahoma (-7) is third. The top seven teams on the leaderboard are all ranked among the top 40 in the country.
Greyson Sigg of Georgia and Chase Hanna of Kansas are tied for the individual lead at 9 under.
In addition to the 70 from Makris, Ball State also counted a 72 from Timothy Wiseman, a 74 from Michael VanDeventer and a 77 from Keegan McKinney in round two.
Makris is the top Ball State player on the individual leaderboard in a tie for 39th at 2 over par.
The final round will be played Sunday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. local time (2:30 ET).
