Women's Tennis Begins Play At Cincinnati Invitational

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Ball State women's tennis team finished day one of the Cincinnati Invitational Friday in doubles and singles play.Â
 In doubles play, Audrey Berger paired up with teammate Julia Sbircea and posted an 6-2 defeat over Xavier's Rachael Reichenback alongside teammate Vanina Lordanova. The Ball State twosome of Toni Ormond and Peyton Gollhofer defeated Zoe Manion and Sophia Albeson by a decision of 6-3.
 The Cardinals then faced Dayton in doubles aciton winning two of the three matches. Carmen Blanco teammed up with Toni Ormond for a 6-0 take down over the Flyers Marlys Bridgham and Alex Townsend. Berger and Dohanices faced Katie Sheperd and Natalie Allen and won the match by a score of 6-3.
 In singles play, Rosalinda Calderon who won her flight last weekend at Purdue, took down host Cincinnati's Harley Hutchinson in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
 The Ball State women's tennis team will continue fall play at the University of Cincinnati Saturday.
