Calderon Reaches Singles Play Finals At Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team completed day two's competition at the Purdue Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The day was highlighted by Rosalinda Calderon who advanced to the finals of the Mackey Draw after registering a three set thriller (6-3, 3-6, 6-0) over Abbey Dekkinga of Northern Illinois.  Audrey Berger also earned a singles victory after defeating Eastern Michigan's Putri Dwinta in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.Â
In doubles action, the Cardinals twosome of Berger and Julia Sbircea won their consolation draw in the Gold Doubles Flight after defeating Xavier's Cristina Di Lorenzo and Sydney Liggins, 6-3 and Eastern Michigan's, Andrea Martinovska and Marie Mayerova, 7-5.  Carmen Blanco and Isabelle Dohanics split their consolation matches with a win over Louisville and then suffered a loss to Northern Illinois.
The Ball State women's tennis team will wrap up play at the Purdue Fall Invitational, Sunday afternoon in West Lafayette. Â
