Men?s Golf Wraps up Mason Rudolph Championship

FINAL RESULTS
FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- Zach Yinger led the Ball State men's golf team with a 1-over par 72 in Sunday's final-round of the Mason Rudolph Championship.
The Cardinals posted a team total of 305 to end the day where they started in 13th place. They finished with a 54-hole total of 914 (+62) over three days at the Vanderbilt Legends Club South Course.
Tournament host and sixth-ranked Vanderbilt polished off a wire-to-wire victory at 846 (-6) after closing with the round of the tournament, a 279, to extend its final margin to 11 strokes.
No. 15 Georgia Tech and two-time defending national champion Alabama tied for second at 857 (+5). This weekend's field included five of the top 30 teams in the country and 15 of the nation's top 100 college players.
Two of those players, Hunter Stewart and Matthias Schwab of Vanderbilt, shared individual medalist honors at 6-under par.
McCormick Clouser was Ball State's top individual finisher in a tie for 27th. Clouser, who spent the first two rounds among the top 10, closed with a 79 on Sunday to finish at 222 (+9).
In addition to the scores from Yinger and Clouser, the Cardinals also counted a 76 from Johnny Watts and a 78 from Michael VanDeventer in the final round.
Ball State now has one event remaining before the Mid-American Conference Championships. The Cardinals will play April 18-19 at the Boilermaker Invitational at Purdue's Kampen Course.
