April 20, 2015 | Men's Swimming and Diving
MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State men's swimming and diving team had six student-athletes earn Academic All-Conference honors, announced Friday afternoon by the Mid-American Conference. Seniors Neal Fennig, Andrew Lamb, and Conner Snare, along with sophomores Tanner Barton, Jacob Eckert, and Bradley Ridge were six of 51 swimmers and divers to be named to the Academic All-MAC Team.
Barton was one of only two men's swimming and diving student-athletes on the list to record a perfect 4.0 GPA, while two other women's swimming and diving student-athletes, including Ball State's Carlena Magley and Audrey Rodawig, were able to mark the feat.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
