Men's Swim & Dive Sits In Seventh After Day Three

GENEVA, Ohio - The Ball State men's swim and dive team is in seventh place with 77 points after Friday's events at the 2015 Mid-American Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by the SPIRE Institute.
Senior Joseph Morris marked his second top-16 finish of the championships when he finished ninth in the 100 breaststroke. His finals time of 54.79 was an improvement from prelims, where he finished tenth with a time of 55.36.
Other events on the day included the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 back and 3-meter diving. The Cardinals' divers narrowly missed the finals, after freshmen Tyler Nock and Seth Winslow posted scores of 221.05 and 210.75 in prelims, respectively. Senior Neal Fennig just missed the cutoff in the 200 freestyle after he finished with a 1:41.98 time in prelims, while sophomore Bradley Ridge clocked a 49.91 in the 100 fly for 17th in prelims.
Missouri State continues to lead the competition heading into the final day of MAC Championships with a score of 511.50. They are tailed by Eastern Michigan at 487.50 and Southern Illinois at 350.
The Cardinals return to the SPIRE Institute tomorrow morning for preliminary sessions starting at 11 a.m., followed final swims at 7:10 p.m. The 1650 freestyle will take place at 5 p.m.
