MUNCIE, Ind. – Zavier Turner, a sophomore guard for the Ball State men's basketball team, will seek to transfer. Ball State has granted his request to speak with other institutions.
"We want to thank Zavier for his two years at Ball State," Cardinals head coach James Whitford said. "We wish him the very best going forward."
Turner averaged 8.7 points and 3.3 assists per game this season. The product of Pike High School in Indianapolis was the Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year in 2013-14. He averaged 12.1 points and 3.7 assists per game that season.
"I just felt like this was the best decision for me," Turner said. "I talked about it with my parents and they are supporting me. I enjoyed my two years here but felt like this was the right thing."
