Cardinal Flashback Episode 2: Dennis Trammell
February 22, 2015 | Men's Basketball
Take a look back into the history of the Ball State men's basketball program with the newest All-Access feature, Cardinal Flashback. Throughout the season, veterans of the Ball State basketball program will recount their memories and experiences in Muncie, reliving the past of the Cards' historic program.
On the second edition, Dennis Trammell revisits some key upsets during his time as a Cardinal. In 2003, Trammell was part of the team that took down Thad Matta's Xavier team inside Worthen Arena. The next season, Trammell and the Cards pulled of a nearly unheard-of win in Kalamazoo.
Trammell, a two-year letterwinner for Ball State after transfering from New Mexico State, was second on the team in scoring as a senior. He averaged more than 16 points per game in 2004-05. A few years after graduation he made his home in Muncie as the Youth and Sports Director at the Downtown YMCA.
