Ostrom Ties for Second at Rocket Individual Classic

PERRYSBURG, Ohio -- Tyler Ostrom tied for second to lead four Ball State men's golfers in action Sunday at Toledo's Rocket Individual Classic.
Ostrom posted a 36-hole total of 8-over par 152 (79-73) at Belmont Country Club. The senior from Warsaw, Ind., finished three shots behind winner Spencer Shoemaker of Toledo (77-72).
Tyler Pearson was the next Ball State player on the leaderboard in eighth place at 155 (77-78), followed by Timothy Wiseman in a tie for ninth at 156 (78-78). Colin Proctor, making his debut for the Cardinals, finished at 168.
Sunday's event included players from Ball State, Bowling Green, Northern Illinois, Toledo and Valparaiso.
Ball State has one event remaining on its fall schedule. The Cardinals will travel to Lahaina, Hawaii, for the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic scheduled for Nov. 6-8.
